16" Early English Pedlar
Wonderful 1850s wax-over papier mache English Pedlar man with flower & fruit basket. Glass pupilless eyes, painted black hair & cloth body with bisque lower limbs. Has woven basket on head with cloth flowers, fruit basket at side & darling brown velvet dog of the same time period at feet. Nice, likely original, clothes & black leather boots. Some cracks on head with small loss at back of head.

Original face painting & brown cloth body with compo lower limbs, molded & painted socks & heeled boots. Repairs on forehead, right hand, boots & small crack on left eye. c1880
